Audio-only therapy

Connection without the camera.

You can focus on the conversation, rather than how you look on a screen.

I offer audio-only individual therapy when it is appropriate for your needs. We meet through a live voice conversation using the practice’s agreed appointment method. You receive the same thoughtful attention to your goals, pacing, and therapeutic relationship, with a format that may feel more comfortable for you.

Less camera pressure

There is no need to manage camera framing, watch your own image, or maintain on-screen eye contact. Some clients find it easier to speak openly with fewer visual demands.

More sensory choice

Choose comfortable lighting, reduce screen exposure, or use headphones if they help. This flexibility may be useful when visual stimulation or sensory overload makes video tiring.

Room to regulate

In a safe, private space, you can doodle, use a fidget, change position, or move gently while staying engaged. We can make room for your natural ways of listening and processing.

Support from a familiar space

Join from a suitable private setting without traveling to an office. That can make appointments easier to fit around energy levels, transportation, and everyday responsibilities.

Attention to your words & pace

Voice, tone, pauses, and what you choose to share guide the conversation. You can ask for processing time, clearer questions, or a slower pace.

A simpler connection

Audio appointments can reduce some barriers associated with video, including camera setup and internet demands, depending on the appointment platform.

What to expect

Before beginning, we discuss the format, consent, privacy, your physical location, and a plan for a dropped connection. Choose a place where you can speak privately and participate safely; please do not attend while driving.

Audio-only care is a collaborative choice. We assess clinical fit together and confirm your state’s requirements and any insurance coverage conditions. Some assessments or interventions may need a different format, and we can discuss that openly.
